Causal Arguments Activity

There are many problems in the car manufacturing industry. Many manufacturing employees do not follow protocols which can affect the lives of many people. Not only are they not following rules but little is being done to change the way car manufacturers develop their cars.  The problems in car manufacturing have affected the lives of millions and will continue to affect them if nothing is done. Car accidents are one of the leading causes of death. “About 90 people die every day in the U.S. from vehicle accidents” (https://www.sweeneymerrigan.com/). Cars are not properly manufactured and should be tested before being sold. If cars had better safety systems then the number could be cut to 0. Not only has car manufacturing been causing deaths but it has also increased problems environmentally. The gas emissions that are given off by cars is one of the main causes of global warming. Steps have been taken to develop environmentally safe cars such as the development of electric cars. “Research has shown that electric cars are better for the environment. They emit fewer greenhouse gases and air pollutants over their life than a petrol or diesel car” (edfenergy.com). Electric cars were first created and thought of by Nikola Tesla and have since been innovated by Elon Musk and the company Tesla. They have already begun to manufacture and sell their cars This an important step that has been taken, however, more can be done. If more car companies adopted the idea of the electric car, then we could eliminate the use of gas emissions and prevent global warming.
